For this exciting project I ventured through “Wildlife Encounters” by Willie Wimes, “The Wonders of Life” by Emily Graham and settled with “The Automatic Message, a look into a surreal world” by Lindsey Kostelny.
I selected this Exhibit because I felt a personal connection to one of the artworks.
It was easy in writing the critique for this powerpoint show. I was able to follow it and I enjoyed watching it. So it was a fun project to do.
I feel that critiquing others works is a great way of improving two things. Their work so they can see what others think, and also my own work where I can see how others interpreted the task at hand.
I want to read the critique of others towards my work. It is the only way to get better as an artist or creator.
On a scale on one to ten, I would rate my article a ten. I think I was compassionate towards the presentation without being too critical because art is exactly a creation of individuality and we are all different in our own viewing. I think I was able to step out of my personal thoughts as well to study the separate artworks too.
I enjoyed working on this project because mine being about motivation, really inspired me and I hope it had the same effect on others. Also being able to use my dad’s paintings was great in the fact that I could let others see them too.
